How to Treat your acne Naturally- Get Acne free skin

Acne is a common skin condition that affects around 85 percent of young adults. Acne is caused by bacteria infected or clogged pores.

Acne is also known as pimples, blackheads and whiteheads or cysts. It's most common in puberty and adolescence. Acne can affect anyone of any age. It can be caused by hormonal fluctuations, particularly during pregnancy and puberty, medication containing corticosteroids, oral contraceptive pill, stress, and a diet high-in refined sugars or carbs.

The pores in your skin are small and connect to the oil glands under the skin via follicles. These glands produce sebum, an oily substance. This can lead to acne. Excessive oil secretion is the reason acne is more common in puberty and during hormonal changes.

What causes acne?

Sometimes, pimples or acne can be caused by a reaction to a cosmetic. Yes, what you eat can also be a factor. It is common to believe that not getting enough water could cause acne. All of these factors can lead to acne problems. However, there are many other factors.

1. Genetic

It is more likely that your parents had it.

2. Hormonal

Androgens, which are sexual hormones, increase in puberty in both boys and girls and cause the follicular cells to expand and produce more sebum . This leads to acne . High-androgen states can also be caused by medical conditions. Sebum production can be affected by hormonal changes in pregnancy or the use of oral contraceptives.

3. Drugs

Some medications have been shown to worsen acne. These medications include anticonvulsant medication and steroids.

4. Smoking

Smoking is bad for your health. But did you know it can also be harmful to your skin? Every cigarette you smoke causes a decrease of oxygen supply to your face. Smoking can also cause skin irritations, causing the skin to produce more oil and potentially causing breakouts. The degrading of collagen or elastin could cause skin breakouts.

Tips To Getting Rid of Pimples

Tip 1 - Protect your skin

Every day, your skin is exposed to germs and dirt. This can lead to bacterial infections when germs and dirt get into the skin pores with oil. Unwashed hands can spread infection to the skin.

Avoid touching your pimples or acne because it can cause permanent scarring.

Tip 2: Cleaning

The first step in caring for your skin is cleansing. Teenagers don't have the time or energy to maintain a complicated skincare regimen due to their schoolwork and other commitments.

It's possible to prevent pimples and acne from developing by following simple, easy-to-follow skincare steps. It is important to keep your skincare routine simple and tailored to each person's individual needs. One of the best ways to avoid pimples is to cleanse your face.

Tip 3: Understand Your Skin Type

No matter what skin type you have, acne can happen to anyone. Even if your skin isn't prone to pimples, you may experience it at least once in your life. Combination and oily skin are the most susceptible to pimples. It is essential to know your skin type before you choose the right skincare products.

Tip 4: The Minimum

Keep your makeup minimal. Avoid using make-up if possible to avoid acne problems. Hidden under layers of make-up will make your skin worse and lead to more breakouts. A moisturizer that contains less oil should be used by people with acne-prone skin.

Do not use makeup to cover up pimples. You will make your pimples even worse and trigger breakouts. Avoid heavy or greasy makeup when applying makeup. Makeup and skincare products should be chemical- and fragrance-free.

Tip 5: Effective Skincare Routine

Oily skin is more likely to be prone to acne. These people often have brightened cheeks and noses. Even if they use gentle soap to wash their skin, the oily skin becomes more noticeable by evening. To avoid pimples at home, it is important to have a good skin care routine. Your skincare routine should include cleansing, toning and moisturizing. This will prevent pimples and acne from forming.

Tip 6: Pay Attention to What You Eat

Avoid eating oily, fried, or junk food as they can lead to pimples or acne. Avoid processed foods as they can cause skin irritation. Your diet should include a variety of fruits and veggies. Healthy food is one way to avoid pimples at home. Pimples can also be caused by dairy products in some cases.

Tip 7: Hydration is the Key

To keep your skin and body hydrated, drink enough water each day. Water is good for skin health and can help reduce the appearance of acne. Make sure to wash your face at the very least twice a day. This will give you a fresh, clear complexion.

Tip 8:  Avoid excessive and harsh scrubber

Excessive skin rubbing can cause skin irritation and inflammation. To prevent pimples, use a mild scrub or a gentle brush to clean your skin.

Tip 9: Follow a Good Hair Care Regimen

A good hair care routine is just as important as a good skincare regimen to avoid getting acne. Regular hair washing is recommended. Excess oil can travel to your skin and make your acne worse. Hair gel and spray should not be used in excess as they can clog pores, causing breakouts.

Tip 10: Always Use Sunscreen

Even if you're not leaving your house, always apply sunscreen. Excessive skin exposure can dehydrate the skin and increase oil production, which could further exacerbate skin problems. To prevent acne, use sunscreen with a high protection factor. Sunscreen can also help prevent skin cancer.

Tip 11: Avoid touching or scratching the skin

It doesn't matter how tempting it may seem to scratch or squeeze acne, it's best not to do this. Your skin condition may worsen if you touch or scratch it. Prescribed medications and topical treatments can help prevent acne from getting worse.

Tip 12: Apply Topical Retinoids

Topical retinoids can be used to treat and prevent pimples. Retinoids are effective in treating inflammation and dead cells. Use topical retinoids only when prescribed by a healthcare professional. You should do a patch test before you include over-the-counter topical retinoids into your skincare routine. Some topical retinoids can cause skin reddening.

Tip 13: Manage Stress

Although stress is not responsible for pimples, it can make your skin worse. Studies show that stress can cause skin problems by increasing oil-stimulating hormones. Stress management is essential. You can try meditation, yoga, therapy, journaling, and other stress management methods. Not only does stress management improve your skin, but it also improves your mental and physical health.

Tip 14: Exercise Every Day

Regular exercise is good for your body and skin. Wear loose-fitting clothes to your workout. You should take a quick shower after every session to avoid skin irritations and skin problems caused by touching the equipment or skin.

Tip 15: Seek Treatment

You should seek medical attention if you are unable to manage your acne using lifestyle changes and home remedies. A dermatologist appointment will allow you to better understand your skin. Your dermatologist might recommend specific treatments, such as retinoid creams or antibiotics to manage and prevent future breakouts. Talk to your dermatologist to discuss the dosage, side effects, and risks of the medication.

You can experience acne no matter what lifestyle you lead or your skin type. The main factors that can cause acne are genetics, hormones, stress levels, and diet. These are the best ways to deal with acne. It takes time to get rid of pimples.

Be patient and persistent. Certain factors can trigger breakouts or make your skin condition worse. A dermatologist should be consulted if you notice that your pimples are worsening.

Natural Ways To Prevent Acne or Pimples

  1. Reduce your intake of caffeine, sugar, and refined carbs. These hormones can trigger the production of more oil in your skin, which then contributes to acne.
  2. Make sure to stock up on fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. The top zit fighters are carrots, celery and apples, as well as ginger. Blend them in a smoothie or add them to a salad.

Papaya:

The enzymes in this fruit can help you rejuvenate your skin. Raw papaya can be eaten as a breakfast treat or as a snack to repair any damage caused by pollution and dust.

Pomegranate:

This fruit is rich in antioxidants that can prevent the blockage of pores. It will give you clear and healthy skin. You can eat a bowlful of pomegranate seed or make a refreshing juice from them. This will allow your skin to breathe and open up the pores.

Strawberries:

They are high in salicylic acid, which helps to keep your skin healthy and hydrated. Strawberry is the main ingredient in most face washes. They stop your ugly bumps from growing all over your face.

Oranges:

These citrus fruits, as well as other citrus fruits, are rich in antioxidants which help to detoxify the skin by decreasing excess estrogen. These fruits also contain high vitamin A content, which helps to keep oil and grime away, preventing the development of acne.

  1. Green tea, aloe vera, and other antioxidant-rich foods should be increased. Include at least three servings of each of these foods in your weekly diet: carrots, fish, avocados, and pomegranates (to enrich blood).
  2. Reduce your intake of starchy or deep-fried foods, sweets, alcohol, caffeine, and yeast products. Whole-wheat could be substituted with white bread whenever possible.
  3. Avoid spicy foods, fried food and fermented foods.
  4. Get plenty of water. Eight to ten glasses a day is enough to keep your system hydrated and flush out toxins. It can be added to a few leaves of tulsi or neem to keep your stomach clean.
  5. You feel like you can do no wrong with perfect skin? You might be wrong. Acne can strike at any time, and those unsightly bumps can ruin any outfit. While you admire your favorite celebrities, and may wonder how they have smooth skin, it is worth taking some time to change your diet.

Some Powerful home remedies for acne:

Rose water and Neem

Neem is antibacterial and can be used in many hair and skin care products. Use a few fresh neem leaves to make a paste. Add a few drops rose water to this mixture. Use a Q-tip to apply the cream over the affected areas. Let dry. Use a mild cleanser to wash your face and then dry it. Follow with a moisturiser.

Milk and Nutmeg

Nutmeg contains essential oils that are known to be good for your skin. It also contains antiseptic properties that help combat pimples. The milk, on the contrary, moisturizes the skin. Mix one teaspoon of nutmeg with one teaspoon raw milk to create a paste. Wash the paste after 15 to 20 minutes and dry it on a towel. To instantly glow, you can add a few saffron hair strands.

Fuller’s earth and rosewater

Oily skin is more common in acne-prone people. Mix one tablespoon of multani mitti or multiterrain with a few drops rosewater and a squeeze of lemon juice to absorb excess oil. Apply the mixture to your face. Let it sit for a while before you wash your face with mild soap.

Honey and cinnamon

Both honey and cinnamon have anti-bacterial properties which can help soothe acne. Apply one tablespoon each to your face. Once it has dried, wash off.

Steaming

Steaming opens pores and removes dirt, oil, and grime from the skin's surface. Before you steam your face, make sure to wash it off. Bring a cup of water to boil. Add three drops of tea-tree oil to the water and then transfer the water to a bowl. Place the bowl on a smooth surface. Then, lean toward the bowl. To stop steam escaping, cover your face with a towel. You can wipe your face with a clean towel after 10 minutes.

Tomatoes and gram flour

Natural acids in tomatoes can be used as bleaching agents. This can lighten dark spots, tan and hyperpigmented areas. Tomato juice can also help maintain skin's natural sebum production and pH balance. Gram flour, or besan, absorbs oil and removes dirt and toxin deep in the pores. Two tablespoons besan are all you need. Take half of a tomato and squeeze the juice out. Combine until you have a thick paste. This paste should be applied to the areas that are affected. This mask will not only heal your acne, but it will also help you get rid of scarring and marks.
